I founded Rock Coastal Therapy because I believe children deserve support that fits into their lives. By working alongside a child in their everyday environments, like home and community settings, I am able to see how their skills show up in real life and tailor support that truly fits their world. It is in these moments that real trust is built, real challenges surface, and real progress happens.
“The therapeutic relationship is the strongest predictor of positive outcomes in OT, and nothing builds that bond faster than working together in the real world.”
My approach is neurodiversity-affirming, child-led, and grounded in play, because play is how children learn, connect, and make sense of their world. Drawing from my background in DIRFloortime®, I follow each child’s emotional and developmental lead, regardless of age, meeting them where they are and building on their strengths.
Native to coastal Rhode Island, I continued along the coast to earn my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of New England in Portland, Maine. After graduating in 2017, I moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, where I spent the early years of my career working with children across a wide range of settings, including interdisciplinary clinics, schools, homes, and the community spaces in between. It was there that I first fell in love with the idea that therapy does not have to happen in one place. Occupations happen everywhere, and so should occupational therapy. Sessions can take place on the water, in the pool, at the park. Wherever a child is most themselves.
In 2023, I returned north, trading one coastline for another. While continuing my work in educational and clinical settings, I began taking private clients on the side. What started as a passion project quickly became something more. It allowed me the freedom and autonomy to truly connect with children and families, and provide thoughtful, individualized services that extend beyond the limits of traditional models of care. I started Rock Coastal Therapy to bring that same belief to families here. The name feels right. The water has always been part of the work.
No rigid schedules. No one-size-fits-all protocols. Every plan we build is shaped around your child and your family, and it evolves as you do. Whether we are working on morning routines at home, navigating a community outing, or heading to the beach for a sensory-based intervention, the overarching goal is the same: meaningful participation in the life your child wants to live.
I am a lifelong learner, and I believe the best thing I can offer families is a therapist who never stops growing. Staying current in an evolving field is not a requirement to me, it is a responsibility.
Every child is different. Every plan should be, too. Reach out to start a conversation. I would love to learn more about your child.
